📬 Davidson County Property Tax Notices Are Out — What You Need to Know

If you live in Davidson County, you’ve likely received your new property value in the mail. This is part of the required four-year property reassessment by the Davidson County Property Assessor’s Office. These new appraisals help determine your Fair Market Value for Tax purposes.

🧾 But Wait… Is Your Bill Too High?
It’s totally normal to want to double-check! If your property tax bill feels too steep or seems off, your Nashville on the Move agent is here to help. We’re happy to take a look and talk it through with you.

💡 Key Facts About Your Tax Assessment:

  • Your home is appraised for Fair Market Value.

  • Property Taxes are calculated using 25% of that appraised value.

  • Even if your Appraised value goes up, your Tax Bill might not—because the city adjusts the tax rate to keep overall revenue neutral.

📉 Think Your Appraisal Came in Too HIGH?
Sometimes Appraisals are higher than your home would sell for in today’s Market. If that’s the case, you can appeal the value.

👉 Here’s How to Appeal:

  • Deadline to file an Informal Review Request: Friday, May 9, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
